Introducing Mālie’s collaboration with The Friends of ‘Iolani Palace, highlighting the scent of maile (my-lay) leaf in honor of King Kalākaua of Hawai’i. Fans of ‘Iolani Palace will be given the royal treatment with the ‘Iolani Palace Maile Collection, while also having an opportunity to give back through their purchases. 100% of proceeds from the ‘Iolani Palace Maile Collection will be donated to The Friends of ‘Iolani Palace. 

This collection pays tribute to a fragrance noted to be treasured by King Kalākaua - the maile plant native to Hawai‘i. During his 1881 trip around the world, the King traveled with bottles of maile cologne, carrying a sense of the fresh, fragrant mountains of home with him. As stewards of ‘Iolani Palace, built by King Kalākaua and the official residence of Hawai'i’s monarchy, The Friends of ‘Iolani Palace is dedicated to preserving, restoring, and protecting this National Historic Landmark in the heart of Honolulu for local residents and people from around the world.
